The awakening of nature and life begins with Novruz. The people of Azerbaijan are beginning to celebrate this very solemnly, and at least four weeks before the New Year, the new day - Novruz. Thus, the second days of each week are Water Wednesday, Fire Wednesday, Wind Wednesday and Earth Wednesday. According to popular belief, on the first Wednesday water and water sources are renewed and set in motion, on the second Wednesday the fire, on the third Wednesday the wind, and finally on the fourth Earth Wednesday nature awakens and announces the arrival of spring.
